DRUMVILLE Original Turbo Productions: an all encompassing production company from ex-record producer and mix engineer, and now-turned documentary filmmaker extraordinaire, Benni Dumville.

Currently in production is a six episode documentary series that follows the rise of Solid State Logic; the legendary English recording console manufacturer, who forever changed the way that popular music sounded, and the process in which it was made.

Filled with technical details, rare historical trivia, the backdrop of the cut-throat corporate world of the 1980s, and fantastic stories and anecdotes from a huge roster of special guests, this series is the definitive re-telling of how the 4K series of consoles, helped SSL to utterly dominate the recording industry.

I am very lucky to have the support of my good friends at Make Noise Pro Audio partnering with me on this project, but the actual process of making this behemoth documentary, is being carried out solely by me.

So, it’s taking some time, but “The History & Legacy of the SL 4000 Series” is coming soon.
